From a typological point of view this solution creates a storage space in the table top. Plettro desk is characterised with an organic, welcoming shape that makes it a perfect writing desk. The characteristic element of all the tables of plettro collection is the leg: this consists of a cast aluminium foot from which three turned wooden cylinders branch out and are grafted onto another aluminium element fixed under the table top. A set of components that harmoniously blend thanks to the fluidity of the surfaces. These extremely lightweight legs are true reticular structures, elegant in their design and very effective in their supporting function. At a time of strong transformation in the use of the domestic spaces Alias faces a theme of tradition that becomes contemporary through the plettro collection. Together with Paolo Rizzatto and thanks to a process of careful analysis, Alias succeeds in innovating a product such as the domestic table with drawer from the typological and formal point of view.
