Children imagine their own dream job at an early age and enthuse about it. The childlike way of thinking about the future with a positive lightness of touch, and many of them actually turn their fantasies into reality. But sometimes dreams end up in drawers, are put on the back burner and are only revived at a later time. Such a story is that of the DS-602.
Back in the 1970s, when the origin of the now world-famous DS-600 "Tatzelwurm" was put down on paper with compasses, stencils and creative drawings, a variety of dreams for modular expansions were ripening at the same time – but the time had not yet come.
However, only a small spark was enough to reawaken memories of the "Tatzelwurm” visions. With the DS-602, de Sede realized the long-held ambition for a modular back-to-back seating island. The result is a generous oasis of arrival, the longing to sit down – yes, simply to dream again. At the same time, the distant was very close. With the DS-602, a connecting point was created between the iconic "Tatzelwurm" DS-600 and a completely new, two-sided seating that merged the past with modern requirements – just as if a childhood dream were coming true.
