The original design of the year 1965, its name comes from the similarity of the model with a lantern or hand lantern (meaning «fanal» in Catalan) with a grip to be able to transport or hang it.

Inspired by puzzles and assembly kits, the Kan collection aims at creating light effects between its different components.

With this design, Xavier Solé wanted to reinterpret the classic incandescent light lamps within limited sizes by integrating two types of table lamps into one.‎
