When Philippe Starck and Duravit started their first joint project, no one could imagine how successful this liaison would be. With its clear, timeless design language, the Starck Barrel has pushed the boundaries for bathroom designs and remains a best seller - even now 30 years later. Inspired by the archaic forms of a bucket, Starck has created a timeless style icon whose essence is its reduction to the absolute essentials. Curved plywood forms the basis of the downward-tapering vanity unit, upon which the circular ceramic washbasin rests.
To commemorate the 30th anniversary, we are introducing a subtly modernized version of the Starck Barrel. The new Barrel is equipped with the revolutionary Duravit c-bonded technology, creating a seamless transition from the washbasin to the furniture. Thanks to four ceramic colors, eight lacquer surfaces in a glossy and satin matt finish as well as handles in five finishes, the new Starck Barrel can be customized to fullfill any bathroom vision.
Meticulously crafted, with attention to every detail, the Starck Barrel remains a distinctive design statement.
