The expansion of human understanding and perception of the world has allowed us to create artistic representations of the forces that generate and shape its existence. Across generations, we draw inspiration from natural phenomena and honor their influence on our lives, expressing our vision through household objects.
In the new DUALITY collection, designed by Roksolana Denys for llab.design, the concept of progressive duality between nature and spirit is reflected. The archetypes of Sky and Earth converge through human existence.
The DUALITY collection is inspired by the form and reimagines the meaning of a unique household object from the Trypillian culture. It refers to an extraordinary item, resembling binoculars (sometimes monocular or trinocular), consisting of two paired vessels.
Anthropomorphic objects embody people with cups raised above their heads, connected by short bridges, symbolizing the inseparable unity of two opposites - masculine and feminine principles.
The pyramid-shaped cups are interconnected by effortless lines, while the texture of the specially selected natural marble resembles fragmented and reassembled clay artifacts.
