The Brazilian brand remains faithful to the Industrial Experimentalism. In 2024, the flagship piece is the Upholstery from the Origins Collection, merging past and future, craftsmanship and Artificial Intelligence. This theme has been a significant thread in recent collections: in 2020, the manual fabrics of the Lace Collection contrasted with the Big-data. Already in 2023, Ancestry explored the Future of the Past. The brand also preserves iconic pieces such as the K2 Amazon by the late master Alessandro Mendini, made with sustainable Brazilian woods, the Maid Chair by Slovenian Nika Zupank, produced using sugar cane injection, and the Skeleton Chair by Pedro Franco, made with injection from Brazilian Amazonian fruit seeds like açaí.

It is a praise to sustainability and the beauty of recovery, respecting the environment, the common thread that this year will accompany our presence at the Salone del Mobile 2024 and, at the same time, at the Fuorisalone.

Inspired by the first book of ichthyology De Aquatilibus by Pierre Belon published in 1533 Carnovsky presents an installation at Spazio Diaz with a series of new RGB drawings on the theme of the sea depths and the magnificent creatures that populate them. Fish, mollusks, seahorses, jellyfish and even real or imaginary monsters. It is an installation that immerses the viewer in an aquatic, multiform and changing world through the use of colored lights that transform the space into a multicolored and dreamlike universe. It is also an installation that works on softness: softness of the designs above all, for the shades of colors and the style of RGB images for the first time pictorial and then softness of the materials.

CERAMICA & CREATIVITÀ
A project by Casalgrande Padana in collaboration with the Brera Academy of Fine Arts Casalgrande Padana and the Product Design students of the Brera Academy of Fine Arts will
present the “Ceramic and Creativity” project at the company’s Milan showroom during the Milan Design Week from 15 to 21 April.
