Stories “Behind the Doors”, a journey into designers’ homes Add to bookmarks The new web series from Salone del Mobile.Milano opens the doors to the homes of some of the most important designers and architects. Available on YouTube in full and on the social channels in short form For an architect and designer, the construction of one's own home is certainly a challenge, definitely a major task. And in this case the client is the most fastidious and difficult to please. Experimentation and complete freedom of expression are the ingredients that, combined, produce unique results, eliciting design intelligence, creativity, functionality and refinement. While for some, having complete control of the project is an added value, for others the absence of limits and boundaries can prove an obstacle. But how does such an important and complex project come into existence? And how do design solutions take shape up after being studied in every detail? “Behind the Doors” is Salone del Mobile.Milano’s new web series that tells the stories of the homes of some of the most famous international designers. An all-around account that gives the full details: from the choice of materials to color schemes, passing through the furnishings and lighting. Among the protagonists, the architect Massimiliano Locatelli, the architects and designers Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba, Formafantasma, a design duo consisting of Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin, the architect and designer Piero Lissoni and the designer Guglielmo Poletti. The web series is available on YouTube and on the social channels of the Salone del Mobile.Milano. 9 November 2023 Tags Architecture Share
