Dallas, New York, Las Vegas and lastly Chicago Following its great series of European stops, Road to Salone 2024 set off for America. The road show previewing the 62nd edition touched down in Miami during Miami Art Week 2023 in December, later moving on to Dallas, New York, Las Vegas and Chicago. The multi-stop journey into the heart of the United States featured a series of meetings and digital insights, co-designed and coordinated with the support of the Miami branch of the Italian Trade Agency ITA, entrusted with the task of promoting Italian design in the United States, in collaboration with the local branches of the AIA (American Institute of Architects). This second stage of the road show was particularly significant, given that the American market is the second largest for Italian furnishing. A number of prominent guests took part in the meetings, including Maria Porro, President of the Salone del Mobile.Milano; the architect Adam D. Tihany, one of the international pioneers of the hospitality sector; Peter Darby, President, AIA Dallas; Zaida Basora, Executive Director, AIA Dallas; Carlo Angelo Bocchi, Director, Italian Trade Agency Miami; Jesse Lazar, Executive Director, AIA New York; Michele De Lucchi, architect and founder of AMDL CIRCLE; the industrial designer Stephen Burks; the Lombardini22 studio, responsible for the re-design of the visitor paths and the layouts at the trade fair; General Director Marco Sabetta; Marketing and Communications Director Luca Adornato; Qiyao Li, Associate Principal of the architectural, urban planning and engineering firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM).
