She has written about the economy, current affairs and design, rooting around to get behind the scenes of the stories. Over the years, she has worked on a myriad of forms of journalism, from reportages to columns, from longform writing to podcasts to social networks, all with a single aim: that of telling an interesting story. Since 2018 in the pages of IL, she has written the columns “Dall’oggetto al progetto” (From the Object to the Project), which narrates and photographs the genesis of design objects, and “L’avessi fatto io” (If Only I’d Made It): classic design pieces selected by contemporary designers for the influence they have wielded on their work. She has had the good fortune to interview masters of their craft like Enzo Mari and Ernesto Gismondi, as well as upcoming designers with innovative vision who are making inroads. One of them, who she met in 2010 standing in front of a Tesla, was Elon Musk, at the time just a serial entrepreneur, but one who was already dreaming of interplanetary civilisations To find out more Instagram Linkedin Share Articles by Sara Deganello Exhibitions Surfaces, “supersalone” preview Sara Deganello Exhibitions “supersalone” - going back to the essential Sara Deganello Exhibitions The office goes versatile at the “supersalone” Sara Deganello Exhibitions supersalone: the students have their say Sara Deganello Markets Glass furnishing, an expanding niche Sara Deganello Stories A new era for the Museum of Italian Design: archive documents aplenty Sara Deganello Stories Designing with two heads Sara Deganello Stories The future of the Italian-style sofa Sara Deganello
