Contributors Valia Barriello Author Add to bookmarks Valia Barriello, architect and Ph.D. in Design, works professionally in Milan. She combines architectural planning with constant research on design and product through writing, university collaboration and curating exhibitions. From 2011 to 2015 she directed the design column for Artribune. He has collaborated with a number of design publications, including: Living, Domus, Artribune, Artemest, The House in Order, Exibart. Among her curatorial projects, she has followed: in 2013, for the Milan Triennale, the exhibition "Recupero. Artwo inside and outside the walls.", a selection of objects born from the collaboration between designers and prison inmates; in 2017, for the Source Self-Made Design collective, the group exhibition "Obstacles and Solution" during the Fuorisalone. She has collaborated with Naba in Milan, the Faculty of Design of the Milan Politecnico, and the Department of Architecture and Design of the Faculty of Genoa, where she earned her Ph.D. She currently collaborates with a Milan-based studio and writes for a number of trade publications.
