He produced furniture pieces, real works of art, for the Milanese middle class of the period who was in love with French subtleties. After having taken the name of ANNIBALE COLOMBO, the company took up its seat in Novedrate, in the actual modern headquarter of 8000 square meters designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa. This headquarter is devoted to a production of high quality cabinet-making, which combines perfectly industrial processes – characterized by forefront technologies – and human skills, guardians of an antique and precious handicraft tradition appreciated all over the world. Here materials, manual ability and technology meet and produce classic and contemporary furniture pieces of unique elegance and beauty. Nowadays, Annibale Colombo is a landmark in the outline of high cabinet-making and can boast an inestimable know-how, which expresses itself in the unique ability to interpret and use materials and in the creation of furniture pieces with the fascination of the unique piece. During its history the Company had always defended and still defends – its tradition: the use of rich materials (above all wood, of which more than 60 types are used, among which maple, amaranth, box-wood, ebony, ash, walnut, pekia, paduca, rosewood), very high level inlay and carving techniques and antique and expert gestures through which precise joints, smoothing and polishing are obtained, results of an excellent handicraft savoir-faire. Also the capability of the company to propose custom-made solutions is another example of the Company know-how. Through the years we realized a lot of projects both in Italy and all over the world: yacht, royal palaces, hotels, offices, private villas, extremely diversified works, dictated by the needs of different people’s tastes and cultural environments, different also as regards to the various architectural typology, but all of them very prestigious.
