Karman

Karman is an Italian company producing indoor and outdoor lighting. It was founded in Fossombrone, in the heart of Italy’s Marche region in 2005, from the creative insight and entrepreneurial spirit of Davide Diamantini.

In Karman’s collections, the confines between lighting and decoration become blurred, with both aspects becoming all the richer in multifaceted, fun lighting projects that reinterpret classic shapes using materials and decorative touches that are seemingly at odds with one another, to seal and customise a vast range of rooms, from formal to decontracté styles.

Lighting projects that are perfect for private rooms and also niche contract orders, which have seen the company express its style with passion and expertise, interpreting coffee shops, bistros, restaurants, resorts, and designer hotels, using elegance and originality, for increasingly exhaustive design ideas to use indoors and outdoors. Varied light sources, with a shared desire to tell stories and create beauty, free from schemes and prejudices, expertly using a wide range of diversified materials and light technologiesStories of light told through the unmistakable language of its designers.

The designers of Matteo Ugolini - art director and creative, Baldessari&Baldessari, Giorgio Biscaro, Luca De Bona&Dario De Meo, Paola Navone, Marc Sadler and Edmondo Testaguzza live together in a permanent quest for beauty and evocation, inspired with movements from nature, from the animal kingdom, and by memories and suggestions of the past, or from everyday items, to bring pure classical forms to life, and other brand new, more playful shapes in the lighting industry.

Be, Amaze, Create. Three words express the leitmotif that inspires Karman in the creation of its designer lamps. Whether for the indoors or outdoors, decorative lighting must be capable of giving every context functionality and magic. It must be able to surprise and excite and give life to a unique environment with a strong personality. Whether it is decorative lamps for prestigious private homes or contract lighting for hotels, restaurants, and more exclusive clubs, Karman is able to propose the solutions that best suit the mood of each location to make it unforgettable.

CELL

Over two thousand years ago in China, the very first lanterns took to the sky. Cell emulates their structure and their spirit, tying the air tight with a thin metal wire in white, or in the new bronze version, a cage of light that boosts its intensity. The lamp shade is a luminous heart in linen for the indoor version and in opaline plexiglass for the outdoor one, completed by a tassel in white silk, or black silk in the bronze version.
