Today it is Italy's most important manufacturer of kitchen furniture. An excellent example of top-class Italian industry which expanded over the years thanks to the vision of its founder, still at the helm of the company, now been joined by his three children. The company's business model has evolved from an entrepreneurial activity into a managerial structure which includes a team of managers who have been designated to take responsibility for different areas. Veneta Cucine, an industrial excellence with over 50 years of history The company was founded in 1967 in the province of Treviso, and in 1978 changed its name to Veneta Cucine Spa. The Group's production facilities comprise a total of 120,000 m2 of industrial buildings, divided between the plant in Biancade (TV) which includes administrative offices and a production facility, the wood finishing plant in Codissago - Longarone (BL) and the one in San Biagio di Callalta (TV) dedicated to Caranto products. The Group employees a staff of more than 800, whose task is to design, produce, manage and distribute 10 systems and 40 models based on 5 different structures, with 300 combinations of colours and materials. This makes it possible to choose from an infinite number of customized versions and to market no less than 90,000 kitchen systems each year. Veneta Cucine mission: to produce kitchens by making a craftsman's expertise available to new trends and to render design an accessible value. In recent years, the way we experience the home environment, and the kitchen in particular, has changed greatly. Today we are accustomed to managing space in a more multi-faceted, flexible way, with needs that can change depending on individuals and the time of day. At Veneta Cucine we have carefully observed these changes; we have studied and analysed them and arrived at a design solution that accommodates and supports them: kitchens designed and built for the people who use them – every day, several times a day – live in them and love them. The kitchen forms the centre around which the entire space is developed. Full height units and wall units take on the materials and style motifs of the living area. New Living visually connects environments by facilitating connection and sociability. The alternation of closed and open spaces creates movement, metre and rhythm. The kitchen becomes an environment where new relationships can be created between places and moments in life. A new concept in which tall units form the key element of the kitchen environment. Storing becomes a form of sharing, and sharing reveals its dual nature: separating spaces (“dividing”) and connecting them (“with”), fostering moments of socialisation. Functionality is enhanced since use is also made of the back of the cabinets: a “double-faced” kitchen, where the furniture reveals new possibilities and vantage points and the environment has the ability to surprise. An augmented kitchen can also blend in and let the arrangement of the volumes be guided by the space in which it is placed. Here the full height units create a play on consistency with the wall, interrupted by the glass doors on the tall units, which alternate with the closed spaces establishing a rhythm. The island takes centre stage in this ensemble and forms a visual point of rupture between the left and right sides. The breakfast bar with Rock support provides a space for either work or study or for sharing. A kitchen that expands its functions, shaping new environments in response to new living habits. The two full height units designed to provide storage architecturally structure the space, separating conventional cooking operations from the area intended for study or smart working. The use of two colours establishes a visual dialectic between the different parts, with a lighter coloured core that seems to expand into the darker “augmented” areas. The tall units extending to the floor enable space to be fully utilised. Volumes and functions organised with a view to creating the broadest opportunities for sharing, with the possibility of being able to simultaneously use the areas designated for washing and cooking food and those set aside for preparation and eating. More opportunities to meet up, more value for times spent together. Rovere Coloniale is a decoration, while the Nero Soft colour establishes visual rapports between the various parts for an outstandingly seamless result. An arrangement dominated by wall-mounted tall units, whose compact volumes evoke classic wood panelling and its ability to furnish and warm a room. The kitchen storage elements seem to disappear only to reappear as and when needed. In contrast, the cooking area is brought to the centre, achieving a harmonious balance between decoration and functionality. The full height units are stunning, thanks to the Walkin tall unit, which carves out a storage space in all its various configurations. An arrangement designed for compact and discerning living environments where every centimetre of space needs to be meticulously optimised. The tall units conceal the laundry area and a 75 cm width fridge, a way to create completely multi-functional elements. A compact space that is distinctive in style. The classic corner kitchen reinterpreted in a way that responds to more fluid and contemporary life situations. The arrangement follows the architecture of the room thereby providing everything needed in a small space. Three blocks, separated by their position and colour, find a connection in the wood panelling, which brings them together and creates harmony. A traditional style kitchen where the underlying theme is decoration. The door with its shaped frame and central panel is utilised only in the areas associated with cooking and storage, providing a solution that is formal and at the same time functional. The sharing space is split into two: a breakfast bar next to the cooking area, which allows for interaction between those preparing and those consuming meals, and a table placed further away for more relaxed socialising. The kitchen expands its possibilities and perspectives by transforming into a veritable creator of space. The furnishings take on an architectural value: the tall units extend up to the ceiling, serving as a wall and creating a partition between different environments. A partition and at the same time a storage wall where space is optimised down to the last centimetre. With an additional perspective: the use of glass for some of the doors turns the new wall into a connecting element. Iconica proposes a new aesthetic vision and a break away from classic arrangements through the absence of the upper profile on the base units and the use of a system of alignments that goes beyond conventional design thinking. A new representation, made possible by the use of the opening profile at mid level only, which offers a seamless vision between the worktop and front, and the drawers which, arranged in a staggered pattern or made from different materials and finishes, create new volumes and generate unlimited aesthetic variations.
