After Paris at Maison&Objet and Frankfurt at Messe Ambiente, Vista Alegre is now bringing its collection to Milan.
Vista Alegre is celebrating 200 years, marking a remarkable longevity that will be properly commemorated throughout the year, extending into 2025. Alongside the many initiatives planned to celebrate its exemplary history, characterized by boldness, ambition, determination, work, and perseverance, Vista Alegre will be launching a series of pieces that honor its memory, bridging the line between the brand's past, present, and future.
Vista Alegre was established in 1824 in Ilhavo, in the north region of Portugal. Over the years, the brand has been closely associated with Portugal’s history and cultural life, earning a unique international reputation. In 2001, Grupo Vista Alegre (porcelain, faïence, and stoneware) merged with Grupo Atlantis (high-quality handmade crystal and glass), forming one of the largest tableware and giftware groups in Europe: Grupo Vista Alegre Atlantis.
In 2009, Grupo Vista Alegre Atlantis became part of the Grupo Visabeira company after a public takeover bid of Vista Alegre Atlantis shares. Each year, the design of this Portuguese porcelain, crystal, and glass brand gathers the attention from prestigious international design awards, including the German Design Awards, LIT (Light in Theory), Good Design Chicago, Innovative Interiors, European Product Design Awards, IF Design Award, German Innovation Awards, Architecture Master Prize, German Brand Awards, among many others in countries such as Germany, the United States, and Italy.
