The name AUF comes from the Latin language and stands for "Ad usum fabricae". Inspired by the craftsmanship of Cangini e Tucci, to its two souls, one creative and one rational and technical that come together in the creation of high quality products. AUF designer Alberto Manzoni has tried to make the two souls of the Cangini and Tucci Company coexist. "On the one hand, there is glass, pure, transparent, and fragile, almost ethereal, and it is the creative part of the company. On the other, there are the machines: the lathes, the oxyhydrogen flames, and the furnaces, the metal, which is the more rational and technical soul. Then there is fire, which is light and is the element that animates glass, which gives it form. On the one hand the rationality of a metal cylinder that contains a LED source, and is repeated in the same way in every product, on the other hand, the glass element comes in 3 different shapes and in different finishes and colors. I then have made so that, metal and glass were joined through a simple rubber o-ring that makes the assembly and disassembly of the lamp very easy and avoids direct contact between the two materials. Blown glass body is available in eight colors. Metal finish available: matt black.
