Designed by Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez Matteo Thun, architetto e designer, nato nel 1952 a Bolzano, ha studiato presso l’Accademia di Salisburgo con Oskar Kokoschka e presso l’Università di Firenze. Dopo l’incontro con Ettore Sottsass diventa cofondatore del gruppo ‘Memphis’ a Milano e partner di Sottsass Associati dal 1980 al 1984. È professore della cattedra di design all’Università di Arti Applicate a Vienna dal 1983 al 2000. Nel 1984 apre il proprio studio a Milano e diventa Art Director per Swatch dal 1990 al 1993. Dall’incontro con Luca Colombo e Antonio Rodriguez nasce nel 2001 lo studio Matteo Thun & Partners che successivamente si articolerà nelle società MTLC, MTD-R e MTD-R China. Antonio Rodriguez, nato nel 1963 e cresciuto in Spagna, studia a Valencia e Milano. Nel 1989 fonda a Valencia l’Estudio A6 che si occupa di Product Design. Nel 1993 si trasferisce a Milano dove collabora con il Taipei Design Center, Studio Matsunaga e Ugolini Design. Dal 2000 al 2005 è docente presso l’Istituto Europeo di Design di Milano. Dal 2003 è Responsabile Product Design e Partner dello Studio Matteo Thun & Partners, prima di fondare insieme a Matteo Thun lo studio di industrial design MTD-R e lo studio di architettura, interior e industrial design MTD-R China a Shanghai.
