NikolaTesla Switch Glow combines induction and extraction into one appliance. A flawless mix of meticulous attention to detail and innovative features, creating perfect harmony between contemporary design and outstanding performance. The balance between style and performance is reflected in the design of the central flap, concealing the powerful extraction core that springs to action with just a touch of the finger. The core rotates 360 degrees and features a double-face finish: glass on one side and black painted aluminium on the other, giving it an original "material" effect that enhances the kitchen's style.
The total black surface blends with the white LED lighting of the control interface, offering a subtle yet stylish contrast. And with a secret that reveals itself only when needed: the extraction system to remove vapours and odours remains concealed until activated with a touch, offering an extraordinarily clever and appealing look.
The hob also stands out for its countless features inspired by the world of professional cooking. The Bridge function, for example, allows you to combine two cooking areas into one, ideal for large pots or dishes that require extra space. Or the Warming mode, designed for slow cooking (creams and sauces for example), perfect for keeping food warm or gently heating milk and broth, while maintaining a consistent temperature.
NikolaTesla Switch Glow is an Elica hob that promises unrivalled air treatment. The hob eliminates fumes and unpleasant odours by automatically adjusting the extraction power required, based on the number and power settings of the cooking zones in use. This outstanding achievement is the result of Airmatic technology: a smart sensor that detects the quality and quantity of fumes and adjusts the extraction power accordingly to remove them. When cooking is completed, it gradually reduces the extraction power. The innovative combined grease, odour, and moisture filter is activated by a cutting-edge motor that ensures quiet operation and low consumption, boasting a class A++ energy rating, one of the highest on the market. The filter is easy to remove to simplify maintenance; its odour filtering capacity exceeds the highest standards, reaching levels of up to 80%.
With NikolaTesla Switch Glow you can set the maximum power draw during its installation, to prevent sudden blackouts. In the event of an external power outage, the Recall feature allows you immediately restore the previously selected settings as soon as the power is back on. The Stop & Go feature allows you to pause and resume functions with a simple touch. The Child Lock feature prevents accidental operation (this is a very handy feature when you have children in the house). The Timer allows you to set the cooking time and the shutoff time; with the Delay Switch Off feature, you can set the appliance to automatically switch off, even after you are done cooking, in order to get rid of any lingering odours and humidity in the room.
