Dedal: design as an expression of functional art
The small as a symbol. As a reflection of precision, perfection and beauty, it characterises the first collaboration with Sanycces by José Manuel Ferrero, founder of estudi{H}ac. The Dedal tapware collection, inspired by the meticulous and delicate object that gives it its name, is a tribute to the precision of the sewing world. It is a wink at the essence of this craft and the attention to detail in the manufacture in which materials play a key role: "Not only are they durable, they also look elegant. They contribute to the durability and visual aesthetics of the faucet,' explains José Manuel Ferrero.
In this innovative series, the faucet has a slightly conical body in the first part and straight in its extension; thus playing with proportions and subtly adding a distinctive aura. Unique.
Versatile and adaptable, thanks to its different formats, to the user's needs and to the multiple elements of the bathroom, from bathtubs (freestanding or not) to wall-mounted or freestanding sinks, the taps in the series "are not only practical, but also add beauty and elegance to the spaces in which they are installed," emphasises José Manuel Ferrero.
Raw metal extends a range of Mediterranean-inspired finishes
Dedal's Mediterranean feel can be felt in the range of finishes: Chrome symbolises the transparency of the Mediterranean water, with its shimmering, silvery appearance; Brushed rose gold evokes the reddish sunsets in front of the endless sea, and brings a touch of warmth and elegance to spaces; while the classic, versatile and timeless Black mat captures the essence of the moon's reflection on the sea at night. Alongside the metallic finishes of Sanycces, Dedal introduces a new one: Raw metal, a dark steel that transports us to the opaque caves of the inlets and brings a natural and authentic look with that industrial touch that runs throughout the collection.
A wink to tailoring in the textures
References to tailoring are also reflected in the two textures offered by the collection: Dedal Dot, with stitches incorporated into the design, in a clear reference to the three-dimensional circular texture of the thimble; and Plisse, an indentation reminiscent of the pleating of fabrics and which favours grip.
Pin is added: smooth and untextured with an ergonomic enhancing stick that mimics the curves of the side of the tube.
Style and technology in accessories
The series also adds interesting elements in terms of style, such as the hand shower, with several overlapping volumes that create a visual play that also relates to the world of fashion and gives the collection a unique character.
Even the hand shower's hose, in pleated and nylon format, evokes fabric. The finishes are black with a grey thread and the nuts change their metallic colour to match the rest of the range.
Dedal includes a horizontal thermostatic shower mixer with diverter: a push button with flow control. It features one button for each, for both hand shower and overhead shower, which is fully adjustable. The collection integrates technology into its progressive control and water-saving systems. "Our goal is to offer not only beauty, but also efficiency and comfort through technological innovation," emphasise estudi{H}ac.
