"Tonon & C. spa. - corda " — The collection

The "Corda" collection follows the tradition of handmade weaving through modern shapes and innovative, durable and resistant materials. Past and present are two elements in continuous dialogue with each other, offering an optimal solution for both indoor and outdoor location.

“Corda” is a wide range of seats designed for the outdoors, but also suitable for furnishing indoor environments. The materials that make up the collection are resistant, chosen to ensure constant and long-lasting use.

They are intertwining of tradition, techniques handed down like the stories we listened to, enchanted, as children.

The rope is hand-woven on a painted metal structure. Two different types of weaves are proposed: the more modern one recalls the processing of a fishing net while the more elegant one is the result of a processing with knots, commonly used on sailing boats or made by climbers in the mountains.

The result is a dense, taut and elastic texture, which adapts to the shape of the body, giving a pleasant sensation.

Attention to a lower environmental impact is essential. One of the biggest problems in the world of furniture is being able to correctly separate all materials at the end of the product's life cycle.

The materials of the “Corda”. collection are easily recyclable: it will be enough to cut the rope to separate it from the steel structure. The nautical rope is made of polyester flakes, 100% recyclable, as well as the steel base.

Product description

The structures of the collection are produced in steel, powder coated: this technique, in addition to aesthetics, helps to preserve the structure from corrosion and chemical processes due to the climate. The powder paint is free of solvents and does not release volatile organic compounds (VOC), plus it complies with EN 71-3: we use the best technologies available while respecting the environment. The nautical rope is a synthetic fiber with an internal PET core with an external polyester coating. The High Tenacity polyester used for our seats guarantees excellent resistance to atmospheric agents, to abrasions and traction.
