Stories Audi: innovation and design, an inseparable union Add to bookmarks Audi Q6 e-tron On the occasion of the Salone del Mobile.Milano 2024, the German car manufacturer unveils the world premiere of the Audi Q6 e-tron, the first electric car produced in Ingolstadt and certified carbon neutral Research, innovation, efficiency, sustainability, and design fine-tuned to the smallest detail. These are some of the founding elements that set apart the Audi Q6 e-tron, the brand’s first series model based on the native Premium Platform Electric platform. The new electron-powered SUV debuted in the city on 15 April during the week of the Salone del Mobile.Milano 2024, confirming the vocation and bond that for over 10 years have connected the German car manufacturer with the most important international event for the design world. The Audi Q6 e-tron will be showcased until 28 April at the Audi House of Progress, the brand’s creative hub at Portrait Milano, Corso Venezia 11: here, enthusiasts will have the chance to see up close the model designed to redefine the standard for electric mobility in the high-end segment. Portrait Milano’s courtyard hosts “Reflaction”, an installation designed by the Danish studio Bjarke Ingels Group. The title of the project, a portmanteau of “reflection” and “action”, refers to the concept that our actions in the world reflect the very essence of our existence. Through a minimalist selection of elements, the area is divided into four sectors that represent both the installation’s key thematic principles and the rings in the Audi logo. “Reflaction” is characterized by mirrored walls measuring 10 x 1.2 x 8.5 meters: each of the four environments – Audi’s Community, Knowledge, Performance and Digital light – offers a unique and complementary experience, and at the same time communicates the illusion of a circular spatial configuration. The Knowledge area features an amphitheater with solid wood steps and chromed steel balustrades, where thematic talks with AUDI AG experts come to life; Digital light highlights Audi’s cutting-edge technology and design, thanks to the new generation of digital and segmented OLED lights; the Community space includes a tree-lined courtyard populated by Japanese maples, which provides a natural canopy for visitors pausing for a break; at the center of the Performance area, two Audi Q6 e-tron, in the sporty SQ6 version, thanks to the play of mirrors create a ring of cars that highlights the constant research and experimentation that the company carries out. Speaking of performance, the Audi Q6 e-tron sets itself as a point of reference in the category for range, reaching up to 625 km, and for charging power, up to 270 kW, allowing just ten minutes at an HPC station to provide enough recharge for 255 kilometers. Among the elements that distinguish the DNA of the Audi Q6 e-tron is the marked digitalization, which takes shape above all in the voice commands managed by artificial intelligence and the cockpit strongly characterized by the innovative “digital stage” with panoramic display. Technology and innovation are key elements at the core of second-generation OLEDs, guaranteeing greater individual and collective safety. In addition to being a characteristic design element, lighting by Audi represents a real communication tool between the driver and other road users. The custom-developed design proves it: for the first time on a standard-production car, the Ingolstadt company studied and designed not only the shape, but also the movement of light.
