With a 70-year long history, the manufacturing philosophy of “ADAL - Adviser for Amenity Life”, as the name itself reveals, is to enhance living environments with a type of furniture that can convey wellbeing and balance. The collection “Look into Nature”, which was launched in 2019 on the occasion of the Milano Design Week, is increasingly focused on the theme "Harmonizing Landscape", underlines this philosophy even more strongly. The inspiration of the designs is to enhance and thus improve the relationship between human beings and the spaces they inhabit through a harmonious relationship with nature and by respecting the materials and colours according to Japanese culture. The common denominator of all products signed by ADAL / Look into Nature is the processing of Igusa which is woven and then dried and is traditionally used to make Japanese tatamis. The weave of this plant gives rise to a three-dimensional texture which reaches deep but has a flat surface, a sort of shiny “mesh” that brings out the natural colour and blends in perfectly with the hues of the walnut and oak wood it is combined with. “The Igusa is the core of every product, not the single elements that compose it, which are deliberately connoted by a minimalist design”, states German designer Michael Geldmacher who signs some of the products of the collection.
