"Looking through the new catalogue, we can see that the company has always wisely balanced the creation of transversal products, conceived for the home as well as for contracting sector, without ever wanting to display excessive technicalities or a predominance linked to innovation, focusing instead on visual cleanliness, simplification, functionality and versatility". The new CRIXT486 shower column that stems from the Thermo Up thermostatic mixer, designed by Makio Hasuike & Co in collaboration with the CRISTINA Design Lab (the company) three years ago. Equipped with a distinctive character of its own, CRIXT486 stands out for its geometric rigour, while maintaining a particular delicacy of detail and unquestionable accuracy of finish. The small shelf that extends above the control determines its self-sufficiency, because it can be used to place objects, making any other accessory unnecessary, a detail that is especially useful in small shower cabins. "In order to optimise production and to guarantee the harmony of the ensemble, the overhead shower is aligned with the shelf, reaffirming the same layout and proportion". Instead of violating, this up-and-down asymmetry ultimately enhances this geometric interplay. "It took two years of work, tests and prototypes to achieve the final product: designing a shower column is more complex than designing a tap. It is necessary to maintain a balanced aesthetics that is compatible with the other collections that are already part of the offer, and to consider determining factors like the linear production process". Designed by Naomi Hasuike Architect and designer, Naomi Hasuike has been working for over twenty years in Makio Hasuike & Co. studio founded by her father, retaining her own design vision that she transfers to the studio, contributing to the realization of countless successful projects. Parallel to the activity within the Makio Hasuike & Co studio, she develops architectural and interior projects and strategic product development consultancy. She is a multifaceted and versatile figure who is based on an expanded vision of the design contribution, embodying the idea of service design and strategic design applied to the various design disciplines that are developed in synergy and sharing of objectives. For Naomi, the project is the synthesis of a strategy, a process, a vision, it is not just form. The challenge is knowing how to lead and face, in a constructive perspective, the right path to create value through the most appreciable solution. For CRISTINA Rubinetterie, in the span of over twenty years of collaboration she has contributed to the development of the brand image through numerous primary branding design, set-up and architecture projects, including the project for the Milan showroom, moreover, since 2017, she is the product art director of CRISTINA Rubinetterie.
