"With Porro, we decided to design this closet model. I call it a model because it's an intellectual model. I was no longer interested in designing another closet, but I wanted to respond to a challenge made by Porro: how can we imagine a new world to put clothes in? This is how Boutique Mast was created. We began to discuss how to minimize and remove closets: what is less than a pole with a horizontal bar on which to hang clothes? That's the easy part. The complicated part was to give it structure, to give it resistance, to make it become an industrial product, modular, cuttable, liftable, shortenable, which will perhaps open up new concepts. Maybe it will help to make less heavy houses, it will transform, I hope, the places where we hang our clothes in places with clothes”.

The link between the bedroom and the living area, Boutique Mast, the Porro system, featuring a nautical lightness but a graphical linearity as well, providing for the best and highest expression freedom for floor-ceiling or wall composition. Boutique Mast exhibits circular metal uprights where to fit cantilevered glider-wing shelves: a new design for the walk-in closet or a unit for the living area, creating aerial strongly visual and customised tailored-made solutions. Between the vertical sequence of thin metal units, available in Iron or burnished brass finish, and the horizontal cantilevered wood units, it is in fact possible to freely fit hanging open or equipped modules, preciously refined with a 45° corner jointing, selecting the finish among the woods and the Porro colours, also mixable inside the same unit.
