JABARA AV BOARD
The JABARA AV BOARD, signed by Shinsaku Miyamoto, is characterised by a compartment protected by a tilt&turn door in darkened glass between the sliding doors. This compositional element has been specifically conceived to host audio-visual equipment and highlights, by contrast, the traditional aesthetics of the sliding doors. This sideboard is conceived to be inserted elegantly and flexibly into contemporary homes, thanks to the many variations it offers in size and structure. The elegant sliding doors were inspired by Japanese tyles, clearly visible in the traditional slim vertical lines of the yoshido doors decorated with a sequence of cane elements, traditionally used in summer in older urban homes, as well as in the Sagano bamboo forest in Kyoto.
